Allotment Art Unveiled 25.10.23

Bell View has completed a colourful makeover of their kitchen garden shed thanks to the creativity of the Bell View Art Group and sponsorship from the Belford Community Group.  The art group meets weekly at Bell View to paint together in a supportive, friendly environment open to all.

Over the spring and summer, Bell View staff and volunteers have worked hard to restore their gardens following storm damage.   The green spaces are now flourishing again as a source of fruits and veggies for Bell View's charity kitchen and the wider community.

To brighten up the repaired garden shed, members of the Belford Art Group decorated the exterior with an array of cheery painted wooden panels. The artists bravely stepped out of their comfort zones to create images on wood versus their usual paper canvas.  Their scenic shed paintings add a welcoming splash of colour.

The renovated garden and artful shed are symbols of Bell View's role as a community hub. Beyond the gardens, they provide care services, social clubs, and space for local groups.

The shed makeover is a collaborative effort that allows Bell View and the Art Group to keep giving back to the community. Thank you!
