  • Day Care

Bell View Day Care Centre is a purpose built facility based in the Resource Centre in Belford and offers a secure, happy environment for older people living in North Northumberland. We are open 5 days a week (Monday - Friday) and have our own transport so people are collected and taken home on a “door to door” basis.  The transport also has the facility to take wheelchairs on board and to transport clients in their wheelchairs if necessary.

We provide an extensive activities programme and all these activities are based on encouraging clients to maintain their optimum independence both physically and mentally. We aim to provide the highest quality stimulating, sociable and caring service to enable people to remain in their own homes for as long as possible. We provide a two course meal, cooked fresh every day as well as home made cakes and scones.

We also have “state of the art” bathing facilities for anyone who wishes to use them or if they are unable to use their own bathing facilities at home. Staff always ensure that this is a relaxing, positive experience for all.

All our staff are experienced with caring for the older person and we have a comprehensive training programme for all staff.  The Manager is also a qualified nurse with many years experience in the care of older people.

Individuals are either referred to us via Social Services or contact us directly.  Everyone is assessed prior to coming to Day Care to ensure we can cater for their needs.  We also offer a “taster day” for anyone who is unsure what the service entails and would like to try it our first.
