  • Day Care

Bell View Day Care offers a secure, happy environment for older people in the community.

We are a purpose built facility and therefore we have wide corridors, ample space, disabled toilets and no stairs to deal with.

We take no more than sixteen clients per day so the client numbers are small and therefore staff have the opportunity to give clients time on a “one to one” basis if necessary.

We aim to provide the highest quality stimulating, sociable and caring service to enable people to remain in their own homes for as long as possible.

All our staff are experienced with caring for the older person and we have a comprehensive training programme for all our staff.  The Manager is also a qualified nurse with many years experience in the care of older people.

Clients are either referred via Social Services or attend on a private basis.  All clients are assessed prior to coming to Day Care to ensure we can cater for their needs.  We also offer a “taster day” for anyone who is unsure what the service entails

We have our own transport and all clients are collected and taken home on a “door to door” basis.  The transport also has the facility to take wheelchairs on board and to transport clients in their wheelchairs if necessary.

We provide an extensive activities programme for individuals and groups and all these activities are based on encouraging clients to maintain their optimum independence both physically and mentally.

We also have “state of the art” bathing facilities for anyone who wishes to use them  or if they are unable to use their own bathing facilities at home. Staff always ensure that this is a relaxing, positive experience for all.

Client’s meals are cooked fresh every day and we often use our own garden produce.  These meals can also be bought frozen or fresh both for our clients and out in the community.
