CEO appointment
Bell View has appointed a Chief Executive to head-up our award-winning charity which is described as ‘the beating heart of the local community’
Barry Lyden secured the role after an extremely competitive recruitment process, drawing in candidates from across the country. Former Age UK Northumberland Head of Home Care and Day Services, Barry is an experienced senior manager, having worked in social care within the charitable and voluntary sectors in Northumberland for the last 30 years. Having originally trained as a nurse working with people who have learning disabilities, he has since worked for charities supporting people with mental health issues, learning disabilities and older people.
Kim Binder, Chair of Bell View Trustees said "We are really excited to be working with Barry going forward. Through the hard work of our staff and volunteers over the years Bell View has now grown to the size where we need a Chief Executive to oversee operations and keep driving the charity forward.”
Barry said “I am pleased to have the opportunity to join Bell View who continue to demonstrate, particularly in the last year, the tremendous value and impact of local community charities. I look forward to being able to help to develop our services further and increase this across North Northumberland”
