Coffee Mornings, Fish & Chip and Soup & Sandwich Lunches

We host coffee mornings and lunches - at a variety of locations - including Beadnell, Bowsden and Seahouses.

Social Groups

We also host a weekly social gathering in Wooler, which is supported by Lottery Funding. Guests enjoy a variety of activities, companionship and a hot two-course lunch.

Bell View Food Project

We are running a food project to try to address issues of food waste. We link with local supermarkets to receive surplus food which we use to make meals to be distributed to those in need via our Food Share tables; Luncheon and Warm Hub. We are also very happy to receive surplus garden or allotment produce!

If you would like a meal, or know someone who would benefit, please contact us. All requests are dealt with confidentially.

Door-to-Door Transport

Our ‘Bringo’ transport service provides door-to-door wheelchair accessible community transport to members. There is no charge for membership but we ask for a suggested donation for each journey.

Trips include visiting the doctors, friends, opticians, hairdressers, podiatry appointments or transport to and from activities at Bell View.  Prior booking is essential.

We also have fully accessible mini buses which support our day care service, luncheon clubs, shopping trips, social and cultural visits.

We are always looking for more volunteers to assist with community transport. Volunteer drivers may utilise our vehicles or choose to drive their own vehicles. Please enquire within, telephone us on 01668 219220 or email us at reception@bellviewbelford.co.uk

Vision and Aims

The Bell View vision is to develop and operate an integrated, co-ordinated range of services so that people can access whatever support they need. We aim to provide a single point of access to a personalised service, enabling individuals to receive a range of support and/or engagement in activities which meet their needs. We will work closely with partners to provide a seamless, individualistic approach where provision is traditionally inconsistent and patchy, particularly across rural areas.

We aim to:

  • enable people and their carers to live in the home of their choice and to ‘live well’ by promoting their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

  • reduce social and geographic isolation

  • increase community engagement and participation.

  • improve access to good quality housing and accommodation

  • provide advice, information whilst signposting and referring to other services
