Macmillan Coffee Morning: a Sweet Success, 14.10.23

The annual Macmillan Coffee Morning held in Mid-October was once again a delicious fundraiser for a worthy cause. Generous volunteers baked up a storm, donating cakes, scones, and other tasty treats that sold briskly at the event's cake stall.

Guests enjoyed buying raffle and tombola tickets while sipping coffee and tea. For those looking for heartier fare, the soup, sandwich, and scone brunch offerings hit the spot on the crisp autumn morning.

The real stars were the volunteers who donated their time, talents, and baked goods, raising approximately £450.00.   These funds will go a long way in supporting Macmillan Cancer Support's vital services for those impacted by cancer.

We're overwhelmed by the community's support each year for the Coffee Morning. It just shows how our village comes together for an important cause like Macmillan. Thank you to all the volunteers who made it happen !
