A Blooming Successful Plant Sale!

"The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just the body, but the soul." - Alfred Austin

What a glorious day it turned out to be for our Annual Plant Sale! The sun blessed us with its presence, creating the perfect backdrop for what would become a truly memorable community event, made even more special through our ongoing wonderful collaboration with the Belford Show volunteers.

The morning air was filled with the irresistible aroma of sizzling bacon as our dedicated team kept the hungry shoppers well-fueled with delicious bacon butties. There's something magical about the combination of gardening enthusiasm and good food that brings people together!

We were absolutely blown away by the incredible variety and quality of plants on offer, thanks to our amazing community of gardeners. Special mentions must of course go to Janet West and Martyn Tinnion but also to our very own horticultural heroes, Jerry and Gaynor, whose home-grown contributions were testament to their dedication and expertise. The care and attention they, along with all our generous plant donors, put into nurturing these plants was evident in every healthy leaf and bloom.

Behind the Scenes

The day wouldn't have been possible without our fantastic core team of volunteers who worked tirelessly throughout the event. From the early morning setup crew to our wonderful bakers and those who kept the hot drinks flowing - you are the heart and soul of our community! The seamless partnership between our team and the Belford Show volunteers demonstrated community spirit at its finest.

The steady stream of visitors browsing the plant-laden tables, sharing gardening tips, and enjoying refreshments in the sunshine created a wonderful atmosphere of friendship and shared enthusiasm.

A Growing Success

Days like these remind us of what makes our community so special - the willingness of people to come together, share their talents, and support one another. Whether you donated plants, volunteered your time, or came along to purchase some green additions for your garden, you helped make this event the success it was.

To everyone involved - our dedicated volunteers, the Belford Show team, our talented gardeners, and all who attended - thank you! Your contribution, whether large or small, has helped create not just a successful fundraising event, but a day of community connection that will be remembered fondly.

Here's to growing together, and we look forward to seeing you all at next year's Plant Sale!
